Looks great so far. Really like the scratch detail on the collar. I messed with the idea of modelling a realistic suite of armour a while back. Noticed that knowing a little about the actual anatomy of armour helped me a lot (focused more on European). Interesting to see which components character designs choose to use in fantasy and anime, and how they are modified (or left out). Guess that's the best I can say, your 3d skills are better than mine.
Now, I sadly know that spaulders never really go without besagews (which are the rondels which protect the armpits). It's much better to replace them both with pauldrons though (as later suites did, that is, if you're going for heavy armour). Of-course this is all subject to artistic license.
